Based on the 2010 Census, our population is 3,249

Based on the 2000 Census, our population was 3,853.

Livingston County population has grown since the 2010 census to over 65,000 people. Having this increase allows for additional funding opportunities throughout the county.

Did you know that 60% of this population is based on the number of inmates housed at the Livingston and Groveland Correctional Facility? The reduction in census population I would say is based in the reduction of inmates housed at our facilities, because we have had a steady increase of new houses built within our township over several years now.

 

If a U.S. Census worker knocks on your door, they will have a badge, a handheld device, a Census Bureau canvas bag, and a confidentiality notice. Ask to see their identification and their badge before answering their questions.
